Museum – Tabakspeicher in Nordhausen

Museum of Crafts, Trades, Industry and Archaeology.

The tobacco barn, built in 1712, served as a warehouse for raw tobacco in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Since 1995 the museum “Tabakspeicher” presents itself here in the heart of the city of Nordhausen.

On more than 1000 m² exhibition space valuable cultural objects from several millennia are shown.

The “Tabakspeicher” is proof that a museum with tradition can be informative and entertaining at the same time.

The museum offers the chance to relive living craft and industrial history in an exciting way, imaginatively and sensually.
